In my bones, it's Spring time. But the weather here is starting to dry out and cool down. I'm not entirely sure how "cold" it will be. In Dakar, there would be a slight chill in the air and the night guards would pull out heavy parkas. So when they say it gets cold here, do I believe them? Just in case they're telling the truth, we bought jeans, long sleeves and jackets for the kids while stores online were clearing them out.
We are farther from the equator and we have started to climatize a bit. Cold. I can handle jeans and a long sleeve, but I hope it's not too cold. Too cold to play outside all morning long, too cold to plant new flowers, too cold to let me garden grow... How cold is cold?
The Summer rain does not slow these two down. They love it. Our housekeeper thinks I'm insane to let Jack crawl around in it. She's sure he'll catch his death. On a "chilly" day for her, we put jack in warmer wear to maker her feel more comfortable with the idea. Every now and then I keep in, but usually they're out there until the thunder starts. Then we warm up in the tub and watch from inside.
